UNIVERSITY OF OREGON CREW FACILITY

Located on Dexter Lake east of Eugene, this facility consists of new crew facilities, boat storage, and a meeting hall that opens up to an outdoor plaza. The design focused on a critical site response and maintaining a strong connection between the created spaces and the surrounding environment.The new Facility provides modern resources while maintaining a quiet presence relative to the overall site. The building conforms to the natural features of the site, and the extensive use of natural materials such as stone and wood reinforce this goal. The traditional roof style allows the project to relate to the boathouse vernacular while modern proportions, materials, and floor plan make it appropriate for today.
